UTTARAKHAND YOUTH ASSEMBLY
UTTARAKHAND YOUTH ASSEMBLY is the political youth gathering in Uttarakhand. The event
provides an opportunity for the youth of Uttarakhand to witness real-life politics as never before. In simplest term is a simulation of the actual Legislative assembly of Uttarakhand and have 71 seats in which different portfolio will be be given to the 71 selected participants to represent for e.g. chief minister, Leader of opposition etc. They have to represent their constituency being the youth MLA who is representing Their constituency in the actual vidhansabha or legislative assembly which the participants represent in the discussion and passing of a bill proposed during the session as in the real assembly. There is a youth Speaker and Deputy Speaker who regulate the process of debates and discussions.
We envision an India where each and every individual is a responsible and participating citizen who is guided by the values of democracy and constitution.
Our goal is to serve as a bridge of ideas between the decision makers of today and the passionate leaders of tomorrow by providing the youth with greater opportunities which would help them make meaningful contributions to the process of nation building.
To foster an environment for active participation of youth in democracy and to create a platform for citizen engagement in governance.
Objective of YOUTH ASSEMBLY
- To make youth understand the Vidhansabha Prodecure.
- To develop in students an insight into the working of Assembly.
- To train students in the technique of group discussion.
- To develop in students the quality of leadership.
- Prepare intellectual future leaders for the Nation.
- To obtain and document their opinions on Vision of new Uttarakhand.
- To engage the nation’s youth of age between 18-35 in active politics.

- To make youth consider public issues and form their opinions on them.
- Learn to develop and enhance decision making abilities.
- To make students understand the common man’s point of view and express it in an articulated manner.
- It provides upright platform for acquiring or improving upon many skills such as public speaking, debate, presentation, research, and organizational skills, to the participants and thus aids their personal development.
